Blog Neglector (if that's a word)

Okay, I have sucked at posting lately, and I have no problem admitting it. I think its been about 4-5 weeks, so I have a lot to post... here it goes...
Car Shopping:
David and I went car shopping with my parents. They are looking at some sports cars so it is fun to go test driving with them.

My parents test driving an M3 BMW

While we were at the car dealership David and I saw a Mini Cooper. I have never been inside one so we looked inside. David really liked it, especially the fact that the Cooper got awesome gas mileage. He said that when he gets a new car he will def. consider the Cooper.

The Ostapecks Visit:

David's Uncle Glenn and cousin Stephen came down from Sacramento. His cousin needed to be here for a baseball tournament. (his aunt and cousin Elizabeth were in Paris...lucky) We got to spend time with them which was nice. David's whole family went out to dinner with all of us. We don't always get to do things together. since people live so far away.

David's Uncle Glenn being Sandwiched in by his massive nephew and son...haha

David's Dad, Cousin Stephen, David's Mom, David and his Uncle Glen... Everyone thought David was tall. He is ONLY 6'4". Stephen is 6'6" and is ONLY 17...that means he is still growing...CRAZY!!!

Wedding fever:

David and I have been to a lot of weddings this year. I always joke around with him and tell him that we didn't get the memo that said "everyone should get married in 2008." Haha! My friend from high school, Sandon, married his long time girlfriend Laura. The wedding was beautiful, and a lot of fun too. They had a free photo booth, which I took full advantage of...

On our way to the Larson wedding...

The OC Fair

This weekend my Grandpa Reid was down from Utah. On Saturday night, my parents, David and I decided to take my Grandpa to the Orange County Fair as an early birthday present.

We spent our time walking around the fair and looking at all of the little shops and eating some of the fair food. My parents always love getting fair food, so we decided to have Grandpa try it. He hadn't been to a fair for decades so everything was new to him.

The fair always has interesting food, including fried snickers. This wasn't something I was going to try. I DID however decide to dare everyone else to try it...no takers. They also have fried everything else, including fried avocados...ewww...

Here is a picture of the Ferris wheel. It was massive.

David, Dad and Grandpa eating turkey legs.
Mom and I, eating our corn... Grandpa really like the food. In fact, I saw him eat more in 2 hours, than I have ever seen him eat altogether. Here he is eating a Polish dog.
My mom and dad.
I talked David into playing the lottery game at the fair. He always says "the lottery is for people who suck at math," but I convinced him to play anyways.
We ended up winning $50...so he was happy I talked him into it! My grandpa and parents waiting for us to collect our money...
Since we won $50, we decided to treat everyone to ice cream. This is just a pic of David and I with ours, but I promise we bought everyone else one too... :)

Roxi's Wedding

Roxi's wedding was on Friday, August 1st. The day started with me waking up and going to get my hair and makeup done. Afterwards I headed over to the hotel to meet the rest of the bridal party. We all finished getting ready and getting dressed. After that we went to Padua Hills and helped Roxi get ready in the Bridal Suite.

About an hour later the wedding started. It was such a beautiful ceremony. It was outside in the trees with lights illuminating everywhere. It was so gorgeous that words cannot even describe it. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by so much love, and to be reminded of how wonderful love is...

Roxi's Rehearsal Dinner

My friend Roxi's Rehearsal Dinner was on Thursday. We all met at Padua Hills, where they were getting married, and practiced how the wedding would go. Afterwards we all went down the street to a restaurant called Buca di Beppos. It was a really great meal, courtesy of Danny's parents.
